Perform, compose, and produce music with your bandmates! This is a fun six-day overnight resident or commuter camp for students who love popular music. The camp will help students with diverse musical skills learn new things and elevate their talents to the next level. Campers will form a band, learn new popular songs, write an original song, work on the production of original music, and give a live performance at the end of the camp for friends and family. They will be grouped with other campers based on age, ability, and musical interest. During elective classes, campers of all skill levels will learn about live sound engineering, the history of popular music, music theory for rock and pop musicians, the music business, and movement and stage presence. Specialty instructors will provide small group instruction in guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, voice, and rock/pop violin. Skills will be gained, fears conquered, friendships formed, and music created! Join us for 6 days of learning, creating and playing music, teamwork, making friends, and pulling it all together for an unforgettable performance experience! This event is available to participants ages 11-18 at the time of the event.
